What food do you crave when you’re away from home (in another country)?

I love Baked beans on toast. Yummy. That is something that my other half will miss when he’s abroad. It got me thinking… “What food do I mostly need and miss the most, when I get back to the UK, to feel at home..?
The first thing that I thought was bacon. Such an English thing. A ‘bacon butty,’ cob, bap, sarny,  a BLT or the simple ‘bacon sandwich.’
My friend Jess said that the one thing she loves coming home to is Mashed potato.
My mum said that her weak spot was ‘Sausage and Mash.’
My father would probably say, a full english. Naa.. he’d say his favorite Chinese in Nottingham. Don’t you find that wherever you go the Chinese cuisine suits whatever country that you’re in. In Bulgaria it was suited to that food, in France, England.. Actually, I’m admitting to a take away in each country so I’ll stop that now.
My brother just wants chillies wherever he goes, the hotter the better. He loves having Wasabi as it just hurts his nose – bizarre.
Anyway, my food that I need to have when I get home is bacon or a chicken salad sandwich, in tigerbread with mango chutney.
Everyone has their own thing that that love and what makes them feels super.
Maybe even an alpine strawberry?
